Описание: My name is Eddy Echols. I'm an orthopedic surgeon and I specialize in shoulder and elbow reconstruction as well as what's medicine. I did my fellowship training actually right here in Florida Orthopaedic Institute. I trained under Dr. Mighell and Dr. Frankle. and at the time I was on active duty in the United States Navy and upon getting out of the military, I came back and joined the group. Growing up I was, I was a child playing football. I ran track and I played basketball. I did okay, but I realized that my chances of going pro were pretty slim. So as I looked at things, I realized that orthopedics actually gave me the opportunity to be involved in sports medicine just from a slightly different aspect. And that was my initial draw to orthopedics. Yes. What we do was complex or we are, we have a lot of fun.

Obviously, you have to take care of business, but yes, enjoy surgery a lot. The thing I like about orthopedics, one it has a high correlation with sports, but more so than that, orthopedics is a field whereby you get an opportunity to interact with a patient. And more times than not, you're able to return those patients to their prior level of function, whether that be sporting, sporting engagements, or going out and just enjoying life. When they follow up with me and they've got great range of motion or they're pain free, are they been able to return their prior level of activity and they're happy. That brings me up joy in the world. That's why I do it.
