Steven Paul Jobs was a billionaire American businessman, investor, and inventor who co-founded Apple Computer in the 1970s with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. As Apple's CEO, Jobs is credited with introducing the iPhone, iPad, and iMac, and revolutionizing the technology industry. Though he didn't invent anything himself, Jobs was a marketing genius.
Steve Jobs died from complications of a rare form of pancreatic cancer, specifically a neuroendocrine tumor (pNET), leading to respiratory arrest on October 5, 2011, at age 56, after an eight-year battle with the disease he initially delayed surgery for, later regretting the delay. His death certificate listed respiratory arrest as the immediate cause, stemming from the metastatic cancer that spread, including to his liver, which led to a transplant in 2009.
