Northern lights have always pulled humans to this wonderland and we are no exceptions. For the soul purpose of witnessing the Northern lights and leaving less to the luck factor, we decided to spent almost a week in Rovaniemi. The timing was perfect with the solar activity cycle at its peak and dark nights. Added to that it is no better time than Christmas to be in Rovaniemi, Santa Claus's own city.
Rovaniemi is not only about Northern light and Santa Claus, but it also provides a complete polar experience from the traditional rides with reindeer and husky to the snowmobile rides of this era. We also enjoyed the colourful Santa Claus village and the Ranua wild life park housing arctic animals.
In this video, we share the last 5 days itinerary from our Rovaniemi trip. Apart from the above rides, we continued riding our luck to see the northern lights.
