Actually, this is one of the most beautiful road in Europe, running alongside a stunning turquoise river between high mountains – on one side the magnificent Dolomites, on the other the magnificent Alps. This road goes from Villach in Austria to Trieste in Italy. Ever since they built the motorway next to it, this old road is almost always empty and in summer it’s a true paradise for motorcyclists – and as already mentioned, it’s one of the most beautiful roads in Europe.
