Currently there is a forecast information gap between watches and warnings.
Warn-on-forecast is providing the information to fill that gap.
It is a system that runs every half hour producing 3 to 6 hour forecasts, taking in the most recent observations from weather radar, from satellite, from surface data in order to provide updated forecasts that can be looked at during that time frame to help forecasters focus in on the corridors where storms could have the biggest impact.
