Tatenda Ngwaru was raised as a boy but discovered as a teenager that she actually possessed female organs. While this news was a welcome relief for Tatenda, who always felt like a girl, her community in rural Zimbabwe was not very supportive.
Tatenda is currently waiting for her work authorization, without which she cannot legally work in the United States.
