Porterfield Creek Preserve Hike in Cloverdale is a very steep hike up through riparian forest to rocky chaparral than back to a mix oak forrest. The Porterfield Creek Open Space Preserve is a 250-acre preserve in West Cloverdale, CA. The Preserve is owned by the city of Cloverdale. With diverse terrain, perennial water in the creeks, and serpentine geology. The Preserve supports a wide range of plants and wildlife. Several plant and animal species that are special-status and protected under federal and State law, occur here.
