Jack the Ripper: The Killer Who Was Never Caught | Victims, Evidence & Suspects (Part 1)| True Crime

Описание: Jack the Ripper remains one of the most infamous unidentified killers in history.

In 1888, a series of brutal murders in London's Whitechapel district created fear across the city and gave birth to a mystery that remains unsolved more than a century later.

But how much of the Jack the Ripper story is actually supported by evidence?

In Part 1 of this CrimeLore documentary, we go back to Victorian London and examine the Whitechapel murders from the beginning — the victims, crime scenes, witness accounts, mysterious letters, police investigation, and the suspects who have been accused of being Jack the Ripper.

We examine the cases of Mary Ann Nichols, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth Stride, Catherine Eddowes, and Mary Jane Kelly — the women traditionally known as the Canonical Five — while also exploring whether Jack the Ripper may have had other victims.

We also investigate some of the most famous suspects and theories surrounding the case, including Aaron Kosminski, Montague John Druitt, Francis Tumblety, George Chapman, Walter Sickert, the Royal Conspiracy theory, and the controversial DNA evidence that some have claimed could finally reveal the killer's identity.

Was Jack the Ripper really one man?

Did Scotland Yard know who he was?

Can modern DNA evidence solve a mystery from 1888?

Or has the killer's real identity been lost forever?

This is the story of Jack the Ripper — the victims, the evidence, the suspects, and one of history's greatest unsolved murder mysteries.

Part 2 will continue the investigation by examining the killer's movements through Whitechapel, his possible profile, the myths surrounding the case, and what the murders themselves may reveal about the man police were hunting.
