CITREX 2022 Bone Age Assessment with Machine Learning: An Interactive Web Applicatio

Описание: Bone Age Assessment (BAA) is a technique used in forensic anthropology to identify individual remains. However, the age estimation in BAA tends to be unique and applicable only to a specific population. In this project, we analyzed the age estimation on living individual children below 19 years old using length of bone of left hand under three populations, respectively Hispanic, Caucasian, and Black. All 19 bones are measured using GIMP, a free photo editor and undergone intra- and inter-observer processes to validate the measured bones. These three populations underwent various regression techniques: Multilinear Regression, Support Vector Regressor, Decision Tree Regressor, Random Forest Regressor, and XGBoost Regressor. Based on the initial experiments, XGBoost Regressor showed the best technique with the lowest Mean Squared Error (MSE) compared to the other techniques.
