How To Protect Your IoT or home network with 3 dumb routers

No need for wireless on the core router, it is to split IoT and other network traffic
At a minimum, use one brand of router for the core and another for the IoT and Secure routers. The thought behind this is that if one brand of router is compromised that having a different brand elsewhere in this setup will cause the attacker to start over in breaking through the next level of firewall
Ideally, each router should be a different brand for that reason
Using a honeypot connected to the core router might help give you an early warning that someone may have broken through and is trying to find items/systems to attack
Disable DHCP on LAN Side on core router and WAN site of IoT & Secure routers
○ With three devices, no real reason so have it
○ If someone does break in, it is one less thing for them to leverage for information
Having separate routers for each portion of your network makes it easy to turnoff one or more sections if a problem is found until you can fix it
If you feel you must have a "Guest" SSID, consider a cheap firewall/router and limit the bandwidth that can be used for further protect your network. The router servicing the "Guest" SSID can be attached directly to the Core Router
