US President Joe Biden has failed to give President-elect Donald Trump credit for the recent Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal.
During a White House press conference on Wednesday, Biden announced a ceasefire deal had been agreed.
Following the press conference, Biden was asked, “Who in the history books gets credit for this, Mr. President, you or Trump?”.
The 82-year-old thought the question was a joke, asking, “Is that a joke?” before the reporter said it was not.
The oldest-ever sitting president failed to answer the question, simply thanking the reporters before leaving the room.
Though Biden revealed that his and Trump's teams spoke “as one” in the ceasefire negotiations, he failed to credit the president-elect directly.
