This is my way how i installed my fender flare on my mk5 vw gti.
maybe is not the better way but i hope this video will help you.
Dont forget to prime and paint under the fender flare & and you can weld the rear fender.

-Wheel spec: esr 09 18x10.5 +22 all around
-Tire spec: 225/40/18
-Universal Jdmff fender flares 50mm
