I was raised by my Mum. My Dad left us when I was three years old. My mother only had one eye. I hated her for this… She was such an embarrassment. She cooked for students and teachers to support the family. I wished she was not my Mother.

There was this one time during elementary school where my mom came to say hello to me in school. I was so embarrassed. Why would she do that? She knew how embarrassing she looked and she still came to my School. I got really angry.

How could she do this to me? I ignored her, threw her a hateful look and ran out. The next day at school one of my classmates said, “ew, your mom only has one eye!”
