We are noticing that there have been fraudulent schemes that have been initiated by individuals and/or organizations contacting people while falsely claiming to represent the companies. The potential incidents could occur either virtually through websites, social media accounts, job posting sites, emails/texts, or via off-platform approaches like direct mail. The fraud aims to trick you into believing that you are contacted for an employment offer or invited to enter a business relationship by the company recruit, often to illegally acquire your personal information like a ID number ,social insurance number, or banking details. In those incidents, company names, brand elements, and company details are used without permission to establish false credibility and authenticity.
