2 LPG Ships Cross Strait Safely, 22 Indian Vessels Still in Persian Gulf | Govt Update

Описание: Amid rising tensions in Persian Gulf, the Government of India confirmed that 24 Indian ships are currently operating in the region. According to Rajesh Kumar Sinha, two LPG vessels — Shivalik and Nanda Devi — safely crossed the Strait of Hormuz early Saturday morning.

These ships are carrying approximately 92,700 metric tons of LPG and are expected to reach Mundra Port on the 16th and Kandla Port on the 17th.

The government also confirmed that 22 more Indian ships remain in the Persian Gulf with 611 Indian sailors onboard, all of whom are safe.

Due to escalating tensions in West Asia, the Shipping Ministry and the Directorate General of Shipping are closely monitoring ship movements and maintaining constant communication with Indian sailors through embassies in the region.
