The video discusses the process of inspecting an outbuilding when a property has multiple structures. When multiple buildings are present, the inspector must set the client's expectations during the interview process, in the proposal, and when on site.
If the outbuilding is a key element for the client's vision for the property, the inspector should create a small inspection report within the main inspection report. This "mini report" can be treated as an appendix to the master inspection report, or it can be a whole separate report. The subcomponent report should address the outbuilding's roof, HVAC, electric, structure, exteriors, and drainage.
