満洲事変勃発1周年を機に、1932年3月1日に建国した満洲国の現状と日本における親善ムードを２部構成で紹介する（中間字幕はすべて英語）。繁華な大連の街角と優雅な星ヶ浦ヤマトホテルの紹介から始まる前半では、旅順、奉天（現・瀋陽）、撫順の石油プラントと露天掘りの炭鉱、新京、哈爾浜、鴨緑江に架かる橋梁などが点描されていく。後半は日本国内における祝賀風景が描かれており、一部は『満洲事変一周年篇』と重複している。

「フィルムは記録する ―国立映画アーカイブ歴史映像ポータル―」では、1922年から1936年までに製作された49作品を新たに公開いたします。この時期の前半は、文部省製作による秀作や長篇の観光映画などが注目されますが、満州事変勃発以降の作品になると、軍事色の急速な高まりを伺うことができます。国立映画アーカイブでは、今後も随時公開作品を増やしていく予定です。ぜひサイトをお訪ねください。

The third edition of this site presents 49 additional titles covering the years from 1922 to 1936. While the earlier years see some masterworks produced by the Ministry of Education and a feature-length tourism film,the selection after the Manchurian Incident represents the rapid growth of militarism.
