The inaugural Florida Summit on Accelerating Transfer Success; a one day convening devoted to developing a comprehensive advocacy agenda for transfer students in Florida.
This event was held at the University of Central Florida.
Special Guests:
Dr. Dale Whittaker, President of University of Central Florida
Dr. Nancy Lee Sanchez, Kaplan Educational Foundation, served as the keynote presenter of the summit.
Dr. Janie Vades of FIU, Dr. Jeff Jones of UCF, and Dr. Fai Howard of USF shared updates on their institutions approach to transfer student success. They also shared areas for improvement.
Chancellor, Madeline Pumariega, of the Florida College System served up the highlight of the day with her hour long address on the ideal model for transfer students.
The inaugural Florida Summit on Accelerating Transfer Success is a part of the the Florida Metropolitan STEM Continuum: From College to Career program and funded by the B. Helmsley Charitable Trust .
