Well it was Friday night, day one of my 1970s weekend, and the choice tonight was between Bootleg Blondie in the Centre Stage or Jimmy James and the Vagabonds in the smaller, more intimate Reds.
I chose the latter and was so glad I did so. The whole set was so tightly played, very professional band and of course featured the legendary Jimmy James who has been singing with the Vagabonds since 1964, an incredible 48 years!
This is just a sample clip, his biggest hit followed by a wonderful soulful version of My Girl which really moved me, one of the best moments of that weekend.
Sadly I could not cuddle up to my girl (like everyone else there during that song) as she went back to the chalet early. So I filmed the song instead. :-)
