When I was a kid in the 80’s, the Yamaha Electone Organ Champion performed this song at my school. It was one of the most amazing things I had ever seen and it inspired me to play keyboards. Here’s my take of Take On Me by A-Ha for the Yamaha Montage and MODX. I broke this up into 5 separate performances in Live Set. The verse makes use of 2 Arps which can be disabled by pressing scene 1 if you want to play these parts live. The chorus has the option to remove the choir sound if you want to keep it purely as just synth sounds. A lot of the sounds are FM-X based as the Yamaha DX7 played a major role in the song back when it was released for the 3rd time and it finally hit the charts.
