A beautiful song with a really nice bassline! It’s got this typical latin feel with the accent in the main groove on the second eight note of the second beat and the staccato (short) note on the first eight note of the fourth beat.

It’s a functional but also musical main groove, and there’s this nice scale lick on Dm in for instance bar 39.

In the Interlude (bar 51-54) David Margen takes the liberty to play some sixteenth notes, and in the Bridge he plays this nice ‘shift’ in the groove by playing the second quarter of the fourth beat and lengthen this note to the first beat in the following bar (for instance bar 55-56).

And a nice detail is that he plays the first and fifth note of the A7 chord at the same time (for instance bar 64).
