Sea Mist opened their doors at No 1 Merlin Gate, Merlin Park on 16th July 2015.

Formerly known as Auburn House B&B, Marion and Maurice Martyn purchased the property to take a chance at Marion's Dream and get out of the public sector after too many years to count. They completed a full renovation. The B&B started taking bookings the week before Race Week in Galway, the busiest week of the year for Galway Accommodation, which meant they were one of very few properties available at the time it went live on the many booking channels. 20+ Bookings came in the first day and a similar amount the next few days. All to Marion and Maurice's great surprise and amazement. Then with their great service and now renowned friendly welcomes, the reviews came pouring in and as the great reviews followed, so did more bookings and Sea Mist has been a success story ever since. It's currently the second highest rated Bed and Breakfast in Galway on booking.com with 300+ Reviews to date. 9.5/10
