Milling custom crossover boards for the Alpha-8 "Minion" speaker design from DIY Sound Group.
Board is 5" x 6", .096" FR-4.
Cut depth set to 0.01" which is probably a little excessive but it makes sure I get a good cut without worrying about getting the board super flat.
Cut rate set at 15in/min.
End mill is a Dremel 9910, It leaves a very nice clean edge on the cuts and has no trouble going through the copper/fiberglass.
Spindle is the stock rotary tool shipped with the Shapeoko 2, speed set to max. I'll be honest the cheap rotary tool is pretty crappy, the button to lock the spindle cracked and fell off the second time I went to change the bit. I have most of what I need to switch it out to a Dewalt DWP611 but need to get a 1/16" collet before I do so.
