Welcome to chapter three of my Iceland series — where Iceland’s raw power takes center stage. We witness the aftermath and atmosphere around a volcanic eruption, pass through Grindavík, and make our way to the iconic Snæfellsjökull. Along the coast we spot seals, and the landscapes start to feel almost mythical — like nature itself is a glacier-born deity watching over the island. To finish, we set course for the Westfjords, where the road gets lonelier and the scenery even wilder.

Willkommen zu Kapitel 3 meiner Island-Serie – hier zeigt Island seine ganze Urgewalt. Wir erleben die Stimmung rund um einen Vulkanausbruch, kommen durch Grindavík und ziehen weiter zum ikonischen Snæfellsjökull. Unterwegs begegnen uns Robben, und die Kulisse wirkt stellenweise fast mythisch – als wäre der Gletscher eine Gottheit der Natur, die über die Insel wacht. Zum Abschluss geht’s auf großer Fahrt Richtung Westfjorde: einsamer, rauer und noch beeindruckender.
