ময়মনসিংহের ভালুকায় আগুনে পুড়ে ছাই হয়ে গেছে ১৮টি বসতঘর। এ ঘটনায় রফিকউল্লাহ রহমান নামে একজন নিহত হয়েছেন। সকাল ৯টার দিকে উপজেলার কলাবাগান এলাকার তোফাজ্জলের ভাড়া বাসায় এ দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে। নিহত রফিকউল্লাহ ভাড়া বাসায় থেকে স্থানীয় একটি কারখানায় চাকরি করতেন। ভালুকা ফায়ার সার্ভিসের সিনিয়র স্টেশন অফিসার জানান, সকাল ৯টার দিকে হঠাৎ একটি গ্যাসের রাইজার থেকে আগুনের সূত্রপাত হয়। মুহূর্তেই আশপাশের ঘরবাড়িতে আগুন ছড়িয়ে পড়ে। খবর পেয়ে ফায়ার সার্ভিসের দু'টি ইউনিট প্রায় এক ঘণ্টা চেষ্টা চালিয়ে আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণে আনে। এসময় ঘর থেকে মালামাল বের করতে গিয়ে আগুনে দগ্ধ হয়ে ঘটনাস্থলেই নিহত হন রফিকউল্লাহ। তার মরদেহ উদ্ধার করে থানায় হস্তান্তর করা হয়েছে। ক্ষয়ক্ষতির পরিমাণ সম্পর্কে এখনও নিশ্চিত হওয়া যায়নি।

A fire has gutted 18 houses in Bhaluka, Mymensingh. A man named Rafiqullah Rahman was killed in the incident. The accident occurred at around 9 am in a rented house of Tofazzal in Kalabagan area of ​​the upazila. The deceased Rafiqullah worked in a local factory from the rented house. The senior station officer of Bhaluka Fire Service said that a fire suddenly broke out from a gas riser around 9 am. The fire immediately spread to the surrounding houses. On receiving the information, two units of the Fire Service tried for about an hour to bring the fire under control. During this time, Rafiqullah was burnt in the fire while trying to take out the goods from the house and died on the spot. His body has been recovered and handed over to the police station. The extent of the damage has not yet been confirmed.
