Forest Schools are nature-based communities where trained practitioners nurture learner-led exploration and discovery, nurturing meaningful experiences for positive lifelong impacts. In recent years, forest schools — also called nature schools — are also seeing a jump in popularity across Canada.
WorkCabin Creative filmed and produced this video for Norfolk School over the course of several seasons in 2022-2023.
Child and Nature Alliance of Canada describes an approach that "centres the land and the child-at-play" with a focus on experiential, inquiry-based, play-based, and place-based learning.
