Advocate Pitabas Panda Murder Case | Charge Framing Deferred to Feb 6

Описание: The Advocate Pitabas Panda murder case witnessed a major development today as the court deferred the charge framing to February 6. All 15 accused were produced before the Berhampur court under tight security and later sent back to jail.

Former Berhampur Mayor Shiva Shankar Das (Pintu) was brought from Phulbani jail, while senior BJD leader and former MLA Bikram Panda, Corporator Malay Bisoyi, and other accused were presented from Berhampur jail. One accused, Madan Dalei, could not be produced due to health reasons, leading to the postponement of the committal proceedings.

During the hearing, bail applications filed on behalf of Rajendra Kumar Sahu and Sunya Chandra Das were taken up, with the court scheduling the hearing for February 6. A separate petition was also filed seeking advanced medical treatment for accused Malay Bisoyi at MKCG Medical College due to serious injuries.

The court stated that upon the next hearing, the case may be committed and transferred to another court, possibly the District and Sessions Court, after all 16 accused are produced.
