Not just another prepared piano. Avant-Gardist is a unique collection of tonal cinematic acoustic instruments — playable like a piano, but sounding far beyond it. Its sound is organic, raw, emotional, sometimes dark or subtle, always inspiring and beautifully imperfect.
Each note was created by recording piano strings played with fingers, horsehairs, chains, ebows, magnets, sticks and more — each string recorded in close stereo. The result? A living, breathing acoustic palette with textures and tones impossible to achieve on a traditional piano.
Created for cinematic composers, Avant-Gardist offers playable tonal and non-tonal textures, melodic and rhythmic instruments, ASMR details and piano noises — perfect for dark, thriller, experimental or intimate scoring. Inspired by John Cage, George Crumb, Krzysztof Penderecki and minimalism, it instantly sparks new musical ideas.
