“Egg Gaia" (Final Boss Theme) - A Silver the Hedgehog Concept UST. Project Silver

Описание: HAH!!! You thought Sage would be the final boss of this story? FOOLS!! In reality, the true threat to Silver’s future was none other than the nefarious Dr. Eugene Robotnik (still not his official name) EGGMAN NEGA!!!

Now originally I was gonna make a sort of orchestral version of Dreams of Absolution, but due to a lack of confidence and the idea not fully clicking in my head, I decided to go a different route and make a completely original track from scratch. I pretty much did what Ohtani did in Forces… I was still able to include my motif of Nega and it was truly a blast to make! Only downside is I had to reuse the guitar solo from Undefeatable because I can't actually play the guitar... Ah well......

Story Lore:

After a hard fought battle, Sage accepts defeat at the hands of Silver and Terios. All seems well until the Egg Dome proceeds to violently shake. While Sage was distracted fighting against Silver and Terios, Nega proceed with his plan to escape from Sage’s prison. He secretly commanded his creation Sonic 2.0 to retrieve a mech and a special gemstone in his possession that would be a the key to his escape… The Phantom Ruby… with the Ruby’s remarkable power, 2.0 snuck in and released the Doctor with ease, before heading to The Egg Dome’s power source and swiping the Master Emerald from under everyone’s noses. With the Master Emerald stolen, the Egg Dome begins to plummet from the sky, not unlike the Ark did around 200 years ago. With no time to waste, Silver and Terios use the gathered chaos emeralds to go Super and put a stop to Nega’s plans. After Terios (now relinquishing the name Terios and returning to Shadow) defeats the Phantom Ruby powered 2.0 once and for all, he uses his strength to hold the Egg Dome in the air until the Master Emerald could be returned safely, leaving Nega to both Silver and Sage. However, the Doctor is not without one more trick up his sleeve, as he pilots a new mech he created specifically for this occasion. Using the Master Emerald as the mech’s power source, Nega dubs it “The Egg Gaia”, a mechanical beast of destruction based off of the very being written in the Gaia Manuscripts, Dark Gaia… This battle will determine the fate of Silver & Sage’s world, as Nega threatens all life on it!!

After the Boss Battle:
With Nega on the back foot, he tries to use the true Phantom Ruby in his possession to turn the tides. However with the mech damaged and the heavy quantity of chaos energy, the Phantom Ruby begins to malfunction. Seizing the opportunity, Silver blitzes through the mech and steals the Master Emerald from Nega’s clutches. This however doesn’t stop the ruby from malfunctioning as a wormhole emerges, dragging Nega within it and leaving without a trace. With that, Silver returns the Master Emerald and the day is saved. Months later, Sage discovers multiple spacial anomalies that she learned resulted from changes in history. After doing more research, Sage learns and reports to Silver that the anomalies are caused by Nega appearing 200 years in the past and was only traceable now because he had just escaped the Sol Dimension (Sonic Rush/Rush Adventure). Fearing the danger Nega poses, Silver asks Sage if there is anything he can do to stop him, and Sage bring up the idea of following him by traveling to the past. However she warns that by doing so, the future that Silver returns to may not be the same one he’s lived in all his life. With no other choice due to the timeline already beginning to change, Silver says his final goodbyes to his friends of the resistance, to Shadow, and to Sage before going back in time to stop Nega, leading into the events of Sonic Rivals.
