I've been wondering about Mediterranean Dark Folk music from a while, at least you must figure out what of the traditional sardinian instruments fit in the genre, luckily Launeddas pipes are the most iconic and make an excellent lead, and they were taken from the awesome Ethnoworld 6 Kontakt Library.
Groth has fournished the rhytmics and athmospheric Layers.

For the vocals I did chose a very ancestral Bulgarian female singer - the idea was a not always in tune and not always in time voice to mimic some sort of shamanic trance singing - Just working on a more classical version as Soundiron Voices of Gaia is warming up.
By the way in ancient times beer was better, men all muscular and all women sang in the bulgarian style, deal with it.

I am now Thinking on a bone/wooden flute in the master version, something dirty and airy, unconventional like the female vocals. Maybe a Jewharp in place of the northern plucked something you hear as layer.

Going to develop a bit more the Launeddas lead.
