It seems that The Star is getting a makeover; the Otis east carpark lifts have been replaced by Schindler with touchscreens; just like The Star Gold Coast; where they have Otis mods (with touchscreens known as iTouch); and at the Astral Tower (The Star Grand); Kone have installed three new VIP express lifts; also with touchscreens. The hotel's lifts are still undergoing mods; as they have Otis cabs with thyssenkrupp mods. The lifts in Astral Tower and the carpark have unusual call buttons for Dewhurst.
