National Environment Protection Agency to be established in Australia

Описание: Environment and Water Minister Tanya Plibersek says a National Environmental Protection Agency will be established in Australia.

Ms Plibersek said this will be the “first time” there will be a national EPA in Australia.

The Environment and Water Minister’s comments come after six more sites tested positive for Asbestos in Sydney.

“It shows why it’s really important to have a tough environmental regulator that can deal with issues like this.

“You never know when you’ve got these sorts of issues to protect human health, to protect the environment where you actually need a tough cop on the beat.”
