Just who said it doesn’t snow in Africa?

After unusual heavy snowfalls in the mountains and highlands close to the town of Ceres about 180 KM from Cape Town, we decided to go and experience it ourselves.

The best way to plan an outing to see the snow is to keep an ear and eye out for the weather bulletins..
The snowfalls almost each year, but generally speaking the best times is from late June to late July. Ask around and you are sure to get the latest updates in snow as well as some enthusiast tips on where to go. (That’s what we did 🤣🙈🤩)

You’ll be sure to experience plenty of fun in the snow, skiing ⛷, snowboarding 🏂, snowman ⛄️ ☃️ building and snowball fights if you go at the right moments you’ll still have fun even if you go on a no-snow day.

And if you are travelling with kids or you are simply a big kid at heart, like us 😜, be sure not to miss your chance to enjoy the snow ❄️ in Cape Town next winter 🥶.
