Welcome to my design defense for the Psychometric Coach. In nursing education, high-stakes assessment is fundamentally about public safety. We must ensure our graduates are clinically competent, which requires our exams to be statistically sound and highly defensible.
In this presentation, I introduce an adaptive generative AI architecture designed specifically to elevate faculty competence in item analysis (specifically p-values and point-biserial correlations). I demonstrate how strict, engineered guardrails can actively protect and enhance student learning by safely mentoring the novice educators who teach them. By shifting the AI from a disruptive "Calculator" to a structured "Co-Pilot," this architecture enforces productive struggle and prevents the GenAI from bypassing the learning process.
