MINUSMA has been in Mali since 2013 to support the implementation of the Peace Agreement, with almost 11,000 military UN peacekeepers currently serving in the country.
Our peacekeepers work under dangerous conditions: since 2013, the Mission has faced 130 attacks, with 149 UN peacekeepers killed and 513 wounded. The Mission relies on Member States to provide essential equipment and technology to help implement its mandate.
