Yogyakarta (also known as Yogya) is also a base for two extremely impressive temples.

Prambanan is a Hindu Temple. Many of its hundreds of temples (each dedicated to a different god) were destroyed during an earthquake in 2006, but it's still a beautiful place to visit, especially at sunset.

Borobudur is a Buddhist Temple. It's the biggest one in the world, and I thought it was also the most beautiful one I've seen. There's a great hill lookout over it that's stunning at sunrise, which you'll see shots of in this video.
