Francesco Maura, MD, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY, discusses the role of genomics in defining the neoplastic transformation of myeloma precursor conditions. Dr Maura discusses clinical and genomic integrated signatures to predict which patients with smoldering multiple myeloma (SMM) and monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) will progress. This interview took place at the 22nd International Myeloma Society (IMS) Annual Meeting in Toronto, Canada.
