Francesc Teixidó Ponce – Somni for Oboe & Piano
The oboe is one of my favorite instruments for its color and expressiveness. In this composition the piano almost never plays a role of mere accompaniment, and constantly dialogues with the soloist's melody. "Somni" means dream, and this work wants to express the longing for everything we desire but do not know how to define in words.
