Описание: Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport plunged into chaos as a massive technical failure in the Air Traffic Control system disrupted operations. Nearly 300 flights were delayed, leaving thousands of passengers stranded across terminals.

The problem began when a critical malfunction hit the Automatic Message Switching System (AMSS) — the system that feeds flight plan data to controllers. With automated systems down, flight plans had to be prepared manually, triggering delays across India’s busiest airport.

Major carriers including IndiGo, Air India, SpiceJet, and Akasa Air reported average delays of nearly 60 minutes. Airports Authority of India and Delhi International Airport Limited confirmed the technical failure and said teams are working urgently to restore normal operations.
