Sculpt mode has a number of primitive shapes built in, but an equilateral triangle is not one of them. And while it's not that hard once you know the techniques, it's pretty tricky to do if you do not.
Using the grid to line up the corners.
Using precise move to rotate the shapes to make the perfect triangle.
Lowering a sculpt's resolution to make the sculpt update quicker while editing it.
