This is an outstanding performance by the Boston Symphony Orchestra and William Steinberg. Steinberg is generally associated with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra where he wielded the baton from 1952 to 1976. However, he had associations with other orchestras during this time including the BSO where he was music director from 1969-1972. The BSO is razor sharp in this performance and the brass section is fantastic.
