Kuwait, Saudi Arabia,United Arab Emirates and Qatar said Sunday they had intercepted Iranian drone and missile attacks targeting their territories, reporting no casualties.
Kuwait’s Defense Ministry said its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed seven Iranian drones in the north and south of the country. The attack targeted fuel tanks at Kuwait International Airport and caused limited material damage, the ministry said.
Saudi Arabia also reported intercepting Iranian drones that entered its airspace. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Turki al-Maliki as saying air defenses shot down eight drones after they entered Saudi airspace, while another seven were intercepted east of Riyadh.
