A Safety Round Table focused on the Washington State Heat Rules. The Washington State Heat rule (WAC 296-307-097) is effective from May 1st - to September 30th every year. During this time, employers are required to implement a heat illness accident prevention plan, monitor employees, provide water, and train workers. Ryan Allen from the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries will be reviewing the current rules and also providing information on the upcoming proposed changes to the rule. You will have an opportunity to get questions answered as well as provide feedback on the proposed rule changes.
