Hoppy Trails continues on America's Great Loop, exiting the Mississippi River and joining the Ohio and Cumberland Rivers on our way to Paducah KY and Green Turtle Bay Marina. The currents turn against us as we trade our downstream push for an upstream slog - and we avert misfortune twice as we manage to retrieve a lost fender and a dropped radio.
In Paducah we take in the amazing flood wall murals, visit the National Quilt Museum, and sample some of the local brews. It's a much needed rest (and refuel) before making our way down the Cumberland River to Green Turtle Bay.

Hoppy Trails is a 2019 Ranger Tugs R31CB, “Luxury Edition” (which means it has a generator and air conditioning). At 35’ long with a shallow draft of 2.5’ and a fold-down command bridge, she can be trailered relatively easily (with an oversize permit) wherever we need her, making her the ideal “trailer trawler”.
