He received his PhD in Mathematics Education from the Institute of Education, University College London, UK. He specializes in mathematical task design, fostering mathematical reasoning and justification in learners, and professional development of teachers.

He has provided consultation and professional development programs for curriculum developers, educators, and policymakers from various countries like Brazil, Jamaica, China, Ghana, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, and Thailand.
