Pikmin 4 - MAJOR GLITCH - Infinite Purple Pikmin dupe & Break the Pikmin limit

Описание: I know, this does sound like clickbait but it's 100% real. With this Pikmin glitch using candypop buds, you can not only dupe your purple Pikmin, but also break the Pikmin limit on the field...

Candypop buds only grow underground, which means that this glitch can only work in caves. Those flowers normally allow you to swap Pikmin into the flower's color by throwing Pikmin of any color in it. The flower dies after producing 5 Pikmin of the new color. However, if Pikmin of the same color than the flower do not count towards the 5-Pikmin cap. This is exploited here because the purple flower will not die no matter how many purple Pikmin you throw into it.

To perform the glitch, the timing seems to be to mash A as soon as the seeds reach their apex in the air. When performed correctly, you can get 1-3 dupes per cycle. This can allow you to grow the numbers pretty fast (the sped up sequences in the videos are 5x). In a 100% speedrun, this could be used to reach 100 purples quickly to lift the Golden Vaulting Table in Primordial Ticket, which has a weight of 1000.

When you reach 101 Pikmin using this glitch, interestingly the game doesn't perform any check to keep the number of Pikmin at 100. The Pikmin counter just becomes red, but nothing special happens. However at 121+ Pikmin, things start to get funky. It seems you can't control more than 120 Pikmin at the same time, so if you whistle more Pikmin, they will appear in your party but they won't move on the screen. In this video, I reached 300 Pikmin, but you can get more, I don't know if there is a limit. Since the game was already a bit laggy at 300 Pikmin, I can imagine that it only gets worse with more. As you can see in the video, you can carry on to next sublevels with the 300 or so purple Pikmin. However at the surface you will be back at 100 Pikmin on the field. Interestingly, on the cave results screen, the game does not acknowledge the Pikmin growth...

You can apparently get this glitch with other types of Pikmin but the timing seems to be more difficult to get than with purple Pikmin.
