When it comes to asylum seekers, Portland leaders have long called on other communities to step up and help.
Earlier this month, U.S. Senator Susan Collins told CBS13 she'd like to see more asylum seekers head to northern Maine.
CBS13 called around to several Aroostook County communities, talking to town managers, wanting to know if asylum seekers had come to their neck of the woods.
All have said no.
However, there is a group in Presque Isle hoping to change that, all while helping the area's workforce.
