Hand made Glass Cane Paperweight by Ben Edols

Описание: This beautiful blue, red and cream glass paperweight was made by Ben Edols in his Sydney Studio.

This series of work revolves around a technique called cane work. Caneworking is an intricate technique using thin rods of coloured glass. Ben groups these rods together and rolls them up on the end of a glass blowing pipe. He then melts them together and manipulates the hot glass to achieve coloured stripes through the vessel.

In this series of work Ben combines striking colours that compliment each other in works that are both decorative and functional. Ben's attention to detail results in the finest glass pieces.
