NORMA - TALK | How LevelApp Started: From a Simple Need to a Full Framework

Описание: In this first episode of NORMA TALK, Jawad and Alaa share the story of how LevelApp was created a journey that started inside the team, long before the idea of “a framework” ever existed.

What makes this story unique is how natural the evolution was.
LevelApp didn’t come from a big plan it came from real problems and iterating step by step.

Here are the key stages the app went through:

1️⃣ The initial experiments

We began with small internal tools, trying to test different behaviours and patterns in our agents and workflows.
Nothing formal just scripts, notes, and curiosity.

2️⃣ Identifying repeated pain points

During client work and internal projects, we constantly found ourselves doing the same checks, the same validations, and the same comparisons.
That’s when we realised: we need a cleaner, consistent way to evaluate what we build.

3️⃣ Building our first internal version

We created a basic system to automate these checks.
Simple user flows, scenario execution, and comparisons — enough to make our work easier, but still internal.

4️⃣ Turning it into a proper tool

As it grew, we started adding structure:

scenarios

attempts

results

conversations
At this point, it wasn’t just a helper anymore it was becoming an app.

5️⃣ Refining the workflows

We improved the UI, added dashboards, created a better developer experience, and made the system easier to reuse across projects.

6️⃣ The decision to open-source

Once we saw how much value it brought inside the team, the next step was natural:
open it to everyone.
LevelApp became a tool that any developer can use to test, compare, and improve the systems they build.

This episode focuses on the journey how LevelApp grew one step at a time, shaped by real work, real needs, and real challenges.
