This is a record of G99 CHP plant anti islanding testing for UKPN embedded generation compliance comprising witnessed dry and wet testing to trip off the site generation when there is a loss of the incoming 33kV supply(s)
This covers a small aspect of the G99 requirements or shall we say working out what some of the G99 rather than G59 requirements are. I think a lot of us are still trying to establish what's needed (or is that just us?). Let's have a look at these loss of mains and backup trip tests.
We are hoping to commission the remote generation set down control in the future, where the grid operator (UKPN) will be able to reduce generation remotely on another companies power plant. Did you know they needed that?
